About:
I work to improve government service delivery and public policy - ideally using data science when appropriate, but happily improvising with other skills and tools as needed. After bouncing around the US, I’ve recently landed in Chicago.
I’m currently a Data Science Fellow in the Federal Government’s US Digital Corps fellowship, contributing to AI Risk Management efforts at NIST. Before that, I spent two years working on economic research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and also got a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon's Heinz College.
My interests lie in the opportunities and limits of technology and data to help improve people’s lives. I also like learning about economics, urban design, politics, and social science — basically anything at the intersection of people and systems. Bonus points if there's data to turn into a graph, map or predictive model.
In my free time, I dabble in music making and like to explore new places with my friends and family. Thanks for visiting and don't hesitate to reach out!
